Title: PTZ Camera Troubleshooting Guide

 

Equipment: Any PTZ Camera

  

Introduction: This KB will provide technical knowledge on troubleshooting for frequent problems with our PTZ cameras.

 

Identify the Problem 

 

Symptoms:  
 
  1. PTZ Camera is unresponsive
  2. Unable to Access PTZ
  3. PTZ showing no Signal
  4. PTZ is frozen
  5. Choppy Framerate

 

Possible Causes: Over time, These PTZs are used frequently and may run into glitches depending on the customer's Internet.

 

Isolate The Issue:


If during a game, Please access the camera via KVM. Otherwise, click on the camera gear located in the bottom right camera of input.
  1. If unable to access via IP, the camera is having network issues, please have the client unplug the ethernet cable/POE injector (Via outlet not at the device) to power cycle the camera fully

 

Step 1:  Access the Camera's Dashboard via IP (Check Workbook for Correct IP)

 

Step 2:  If unable to, please work with the client to reset the POE Injector (Power supply)

 

Step 3: If able to access, This is a good sign that the camera is on the network.

 

 

Resolve The Problem


See if there is any of the following anomalies

 

Step 1: See if there is any of the following anomalies

  1.  High CPU usage
  2.  Incorrect Output Settings (should be set to NDI, Not SDI or HDMI out unless specified by client/system integrator)

Step 2:  If any of these settings are incorrect, please make the proper adjustment

  1. Otherwise, do a full system reboot, not restart.
