Title: Tricaster/3play Stress Test

Equipment: Best suitable for Newtek Tricasters and Newtek 3plays.

Introduction: This Article is to guide you on how to properly test a Tricaster and 3play to try to replicate any issues or test the quality of the system.

Identify the Problem

Symptoms: Buzzing near monitor, Not Turning On Correctly, Slow Bootup, Choppy Framerates in Preview and/or program

Possible Causes: Failing Tricaster or 3play.

Isolate The Issue

Step 1: Ensure Newtek Drivers and Graphics Driver for equipment has been updated

(Nvidia Drivers should be the one below the latest version)

Step 2: Have Long Videos in DDR 1 and DDR2 for Tricaster setup in preview and program. For 3play, please make sure that one bank is outputting to A and the other one outputs the B.

Step 3: Monitor equipment to see if it does any of the symptoms listed above.

Resolve The Problem

Step 1: If Tricaster does not do any of the following systems, your equipment is fine or unable to replicate the issue.

Step 2: If an issue arises during the test, reach out to Virtch/VISUA to send equipment out for repair.
